It has been seven years since my last entry here. I have spent those years cleaning out my inner closet and revisiting the cornerstones of the metaphysical wisdom I was fortunate to connect with from an early age.
The Streetwise Spirituality Blog is in the wind. It will be based on hundreds of lectures I fell heir to while writing my book, Streetwise Spirituality: 28 Days to Inner Fitness and Everyday Enlightenment. This blog will not only act as a supplement to the book, but it will also share the information I’ve never talked about until now.
Having been brought up in a conformist society, I hid my interest in metaphysics for decades. In the book, I never even mentioned a central concept, one seen in the lectures as fundamental to understanding how life works on this planet. That concept is in the blog.
A new posting is planned for each Wednesday and Saturday for a year. Right now, I am going through the lectures to update language, expand real-life examples, and add simple, practical exercises. I figure this project will take about 1,000 more hours to complete.
I was planning to wait until I had a full year’s cycle before releasing any of the blogs—which means May 2021. But I have survived a couple of health challenges recently and the first wave of Covid-19 lockdown, so who knows? At the age of 81, what I do know is that this particular lifetime will come to an end sooner, rather than later. I may choose to start posting at an earlier date. If I do, I’ll let you know.
These blogs will be free to those looking for answers to why we live, and how to make the best of this great journey. If that’s you, good. I’m energized at the thought of offering you some ideas to consider.
